The Fastest Way to Lose Fat & Get Your Strong, Healthy Dream Body

March 29, 2016

The fastest way to lose fat and get your dream body is going to be the opposite of what you are thinking.

It is not going to be doing some quick fix 33 day, 11 hour and 27 minute diet challenge. Or one of those workouts that resembles those dog circus competitions. Where they have dogs jumping through hoops then laying down on the ground and getting back up over and over.

Kind of like a bunch of burpees...

The best way is actually not the fastest, but is the only way to truly reach your end goal.

Remember, this post is not about the fastest way to lose 20 pounds, its about the fastest way to get your DREAM BODY.

Why You Struggle to Lose Fat

The problem we see over and over again is people trying to lose weight as fast as possible. It's not your fault, though. The problem is all the magazine headlines and messages the fitness industry perpetuates.

Trying to lose extreme amounts of weight in a short time is just not in the cards. Sure, sometimes this can work. But it’s not sustainable.

Losing 15-20 lbs of weight each and every month is going to require crazy crash diets which are not even close to being sustainable for the long term.

You’ll soon get burnt out, binge on food, and ruin all the progress you made, if any.

It’s an endless cycle that keeps people from ever achieving the body of their dreams.

Even worse, it just makes it harder.

Step #1

Learn to love yourself now. No six pack or sculpted arms are going to change how you feel about yourself.

Trust me.

What builds your confidence and self love is the journey and discipline required to get there.

Ironically, that is the part everyone wants to skip over.

Instead you want to do a 35 day challenge that requires a crazy diet and 14 workout sessions a week....

....and in turn hate every day on the beat-down diet & workout plan.

Then you break and hate yourself more because you think you hate exercise and healthy food.

Sound familiar?

Accept that you are perfect and happy now.

But realize you can work to make continual progress with sustainable habits to become an even better version of yourself!

The Fastest Way to Lose Body Fat

Your goal needs to be to lose body fat as quickly as you can, but also as healthily as possible.

This way you can actually sustain your fat loss.

*(Note the emphasis on BODY FAT, not body weight.)

It is not about being as hardcore as possible and losing 30 pounds in 6 weeks. A lot of the weight lost in this scenario is more than fat. This will set you up for a re-gain and harder time the next go-around.

Your true fat loss progress is not going to be linear. You will not lose a nice perfect 2 pounds every single week like clock work. Aim to lose 3-6 pounds in a month and don't stress the every day fluctuations.

If you lost 4 pounds a month of PURE FAT... in 6 months you will have lost almost 25 pounds of fat.

This will look drastic and is a lot different than losing 25 pounds of WEIGHT in 6 weeks.

Your odds of keeping it off are greatly increased and the habits will be in place to continue losing.

We know this because we don't make any short term promises and our clients are getting AMAZING results.

The best part is they are keeping it off for the long term.

"In the year I've been at coastal, I lost a total of 55 pounds, and dropped 4-5 pant sizes! I am the smallest size I have ever been since middle school, and I am in the best shape of my life by far!

--Mikaela Burling

The biggest problem with trying to lose fat too fast actually has nothing to do with fat.

It's with losing muscle.

Crash dieting and doing a ton of exercise is a recipe for losing your precious muscle. How can you lose 25 pounds in a month?

By losing fat AND muscle.

Losing muscle is just fast forwarding the process of slowing down your metabolism and making this whole process harder. If you train too hard and eat too little....

Bad things will happen. (STUDY)

This is the main reason why people lose weight on the scale but still do not have the body they want. They lost too much muscle by dieting and training incorrectly.

Our plan at Coastal Strength & Fitness is designed to lose the fat as quickly and as healthily as possible while maintaining muscle mass with a focus on safe, progressive strength training.

This is the key to losing body fat the fastest. It is also a lot more enjoyable and sustainable. You get to focus on building your strength up and what you are capable of doing.

This is a lot more enjoyable over the long haul than always ending each workout and week in a zombie like state of mind.

It’s not about eating 1000 calories a day and doing workouts that leave you on the floor dazed and confused 5 days a week.

That’s not sustainable, or healthy, and you’ll constantly be spinning your wheels.

Stop looking for the fastest way possible and focus on these core concepts:

  • Eat whole, nutrient dense food 80-90% of the time.

  • Walk more

  • Strength train 3 days a week

  • You are already awesome.

  • Enjoy the process.

It’s not about getting to some magical scale weight as fast as possible.

It’s about continual self improvement with an approach that provides sustainable habits and a lifestyle that gets you to maintain muscle while you lose body fat and actually keep it off for life.

Are you ready to begin your journey to a healthy, sustainable lifestyle?
