1. When and Why did you first start coming to Coastal Strength & Fitness?
I began coming to Coastal in mid-August. Before coming to Coastal I spent a year transforming my diet to a plant-based diet in efforts to reverse heart disease. I was able to lose about 55 pounds and completely reverse my heart disease before joining. Then I was ready to add my next change which was to become more active, lose the rest of the weight I needed to lose & continue to improve my quality of life.
2. What fitness activities/sports were you doing before you joined Coastal?
Before coming to Coastal I was just trying to keep up with my boys and all of their sports and activities. I had begun hiking with my family but I would not consider myself athletic and I did not participate in any sports.
3. What results have you seen since you joined Coastal Strength & Fitness?
Since joining Coastal I have made lots of non-scale victories. I’ve lost a lot of inches and a complete pant size. I have more energy than I ever thought and I’m no longer a sideline parent but an active parent with my very energetic boys. I’ve lost 12 pounds since joining and have gained a world of confidence and knowledge.
4. What do you like most about Coastal Strength & Fitness?
I love the community and the family feel that I get every time I walk through the door. I love the amount of support that is given from all of the coaches and the Coastal family. Everyone is kind & accepting.
I love that the workouts are planned for me and I have to do show up and put in the work.
Also, the amount of nutrition support is phenomenal. The coaches really are a wealth of knowledge and are very helpful in helping me reach my goals.
5. What is your favorite Coastal training day of the week and why?
My favorite training day is usually Monday because it usually means deadlift day. It is by far my favorite lift because it makes me feel strong.
