It happens with most of us.
We have a terrible, horrible, no good, awful day… and at the end of it, we turn to food.
There’s a reason that it’s called comfort food. While you’re eating it, you feel better.
Emphasize the 'WHILE'...
But, how do you feel 5.... 20... 60 minutes AFTER eating it?
Did the emotional eating only temporarily relieve your stress?
You see, it isn't so much about WHAT we eat...
A piece of cake is a wonderful treat for a birthday celebration.
But, on a Tuesday afternoon standing at the kitchen counter trying to scarf away a frustrating day at work?
Not so much.
We need to bring awareness and mindfulness to these emotional eating episodes.
Once we bring awareness to them, then we can start trying different stress relief tactics that don't involve food.
going for a walk
listening to music
taking a bath
working on a hobby
